A resin bonded surface has the appearance of a loose gravel system without the associated problems such as weed growth and stone migration which is kept to a minimum. Recommended aggregate sizes to achieve the best finish is below 4mm. Resin bound systems are installed by coating the selected aggregate in resin, then trowel applying the mix to the substrate. This creates a layer that ranges from 15-18mm in thickness. A choice of natural aggregates, from bold red granites to delicate cream limestones can be used within this system. The aggregates are available in sizes up to 10mm in diameter.

Alternative materials such as recycled marble or glass can also be used to enhance the surface. Our resin bound gravel is water permeable and therefore can be used as part of a SUDS compliant installation.

A Quartz Stone Carpet is installed by encapsulating specialist quartz, marble, natural or glass aggregates in UV stable resin and applying the blend with a trowel to the required depth. Aggregates can be pigmented and are available in a variety of shades including standard RAL colours. The most common size used within this system is 2-4mm in diameter. Italian marble pebbles, 1-8mm in size and crushed marble are also a popular choice. The beauty of a Quartz Stone Carpet is that it can be installed internally and externally. An internal installation can be sealed to provide a low maintenance, hard wearing and contemporary alternative to standard flooring systems. This highly innovative surface now enables creative grout free finishes where traditional tile systems are used. The surface is quick to install and can have enhancements such as glitter applied. In areas where the surface might come in to contact with water, a seal caot is recommended

In addition to our natural range, colour coated quartz or glass can be applied in up to 1000 different colours to meet your exact requirements. Our resin is suitable for domestic and commercial projects; it can be used in shops, offices, showrooms, wetrooms etc and can be applied to existing tiles.

Once or twice a year the use of a wet dry vac will keep the surface in pristine condition. In areas where water or spills are likely to occur a seal coat can be applied. We have products that are ideal for under floor heating as the stone structure releases the heat in a balanced way. Our products are also warm and therapeutic under foot.
